Dance Moms reality star Abby Lee Miller has revealed how she lost weight.
The dance studio owner recently went from a size 24 to 16.
She claims, she did it without any diets, exercise or surgeries! “That would have been easy,” she laughed when asked about it by PEOPLE.
Here’s her explanation of how the weight came off without her even trying. She insists, weight loss was accidental through a combination of stress, overwork, and illness.
- She ate bad hospital food while supporting her mother’s battle with colon cancer: “When you’re in and out of the hospital, that hospital food just makes you sick. I think it was a little bit mental with me.”
- She went right back to work, in LA, in a studio with no air conditioning: “It was hot as hell, so nobody was eating a lot”.
- She was diagnosed with early-onset diabetes and went to get a refill for a prescription while on a trip to Australia: “I had to get a prescription refilled – lo and behold, there’s something different about that prescription in Australia. I would take this medicine and within an hour, I was vomiting like I was in fourth grade and had the flu or like I had food poisoning. It was awful. After I would throw up, I couldn’t even look at food for the rest of the day.”
“So that is how I lost the weight,” she insists. “There’s no diet, there’s no exercise, there’s no this, there’s no that… I’m not slim by any means; I have a long, long way to go.”
She adds of the reaction from the Dance Moms, Melissa and Jill, below, “Melissa [Gisoni] and Jill [Vertes] are friends so they’re very happy, mainly health-wise for me.”
Previously, it was claimed by OK! Magazine that Abby had “secret pal band surgery.”
A source claimed at the time, “That’s the buzz among her friends, but Abby is being very hush-hush about it.” The insider insisted Abby’s motivation was being lonely: “Abby decided that she needed to get her life in order.”
