Ariana Grande has been accused… again… of diva demands, treating people poorly, and ordering her staffers to clear civilians out of her way.
After performing on Saturday Night Live this weekend, Ariana performed (unpaid) in a club called BPM inside the Out hotel on W. 42nd St. for a crowd of 3,000.
“Before she got there she made security clear out the entire lobby. Even if you were a guest at the hotel you had to clear out,” reveals an insider to the New York Daily News. “No one could sit in the lobby, but she came in the back. She took up a unisex bathroom with her mother and father and put two bodyguards outside.”
She then asked security to “get rid” of 15 paparazzi near the front door. The source adds, “She had an entourage of 21 people with her, maybe more. I stopped counting. Her mother was primping her and her brother was with her, too.” Her parents were helping her change from one outfit to another for the 3.30am performance. She then sent a staffer to find her Swarovski crystal-covered mic pack.
“The hotel had been cleared from 1:30 a.m. on,” reveals an eyewitness. “Ariana also took over a huge conference room and turned it into a dressing room. Basically, 3,000 square feet of hotel space was hers. You had to show your hotel key to get anywhere.” This is in addition to the commotion caused by her own camera crew and photographers documenting the entire thing.
Her rep has denied the story, telling the NYDN it’s “Simply not true. She was there with her family, dancers (who performed) and three friends.”
