According to a new report from Star, actress Ariel Winter allegedly pays boyfriend Levi Meaden to take care of her.
Sources allege that Levi is given funds to look after Ariel. The actress quickly responded to the story and lashed out on Twitter.
Star notes that Ariel is the breadwinner in the relationship. However, “she wants to let Levi take care of her too, even if it’s with her own money.” The source adds: “He treats her like a princess, which they’ve joked is a full-time job.”
The source claims Ariel gives Levi money for chores and errands. Ariel’s friends “worry that she’s throwing too much cash his way,” alleges the source. Asking: “Why would he go on auditions when he can stay home and still collect a paycheck?”
Ariel responded on Twitter, writing: “Not cool.”
She also posted a statement in response to Star:
“Star Magazine is obviously a non-reputable source and a trash magazine. But seriously how dare you make up stuff that you have no idea about.
I have a boyfriend and an assistant who are not the same person. I would never pay my boyfriend any sort of allowance. Nor would he ever accept if I offered.
He buys his own stuff whether it’s for me or himself. And he more than pulls his own weight for our life.
I hate fake news but I guess that is what our world has come to. Get your s**t straight. I don’t support anyone and I don’t need anyone to support me.
He’s got a full career (including something huge that’s new) and works hard for it.
He’s not just someone’s boyfriend. So if you don’t know us, don’t comment.” (via Ariel’s Twitter)
Ariel’s rep also responded: “Ariel has a boyfriend and a personal assistant but they are definitely not the same person.
The rep adds: “Levi has not, nor would he ever, receive money from Ariel. That insinuation is incredibly insulting to our client and her relationship.”
“And while we understand that it is not within Star magazine’s normal habits to properly fact check, we would encourage them to reach out to us in the future so that we can clear up any confusion, and avoid nonsense like this moving forward.”
