Bethenny Frankel is confirmed to return to the Real Housewives’ upcoming season. While promoting her new book, she spoke about what happened with her television show and why she’s coming back to reality television.
“When I left the show and then the talk show was done, I kind of was really burnt out… I didn’t know if I really wanted to be on television anymore,” she told Extra (via Daily Mail). “At least for a while…one truth of the matter is and this I haven’t told anyone yet: I really would like it to be my decision if I stop the train of kind of being in the public eye and being on television. And I think if I didn’t do something else soon that I really thought was good for me, then it wouldn’t have been my choice any more.”
She added of her return to the Real Housewives of New York, “It just feels fresh and new, which is kind of representative of where I am in my personal life, which feels fresh and new.”
Previously, Bethenny said of her return to the show, “I’m genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to The Real Housewives of New York City. Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!”
