A production source claims, “Bethenny is insisting on featuring her Skinnygirl products at every opportunity. The requests from Bethenny have crew members concerned the upcoming season will be one big promo for all things Bethenny.”
For example, at her 44th birthday party at Gilded Lily, filmed for the show, “Bethenny made certain the bar was stocked with all of her Skinny Girl alcohol.” Producers felt that “It just feels tacky and cheap.”
Moreover, rather than bring the drama, “Bethenny is proving to be a downer in that department too… She is trying to be the mother hen, and providing support to LuAnn de Lesseps as she begins dating after her breakup with Jacques… Bethenny is very hesitant to get into heated fights with [people] on camera.” Which the cast and crew feel is fake.
The insider admits, Bravo producers are disappointed. Adding “Producers brought Bethenny back to spice things up, and she is acting like some sort of advice guru. It’s obvious to everyone that Bethenny is only using the show to rehab her public image which took a huge hit after her divorce proceedings from estranged husband, Jason Hoppy began.”
