Caleb’s scandal actually dates back two years when he wrote a series of comments on social media that have gone viral since he entered the house.
His comments included one about “f*gs” (the gay slur), and calling President Barack Obama a “Muslim monkey”.
In addition to anti-abortion comments like, “You believe in murder? …I guess so but I don’t agree with murdering a[n] innocent baby.”
Reynolds’ family members tell TMZ … Caleb is being judged for something he wrote two years ago, not long after he returned home from a tour in Iraq.
His brother tells us, “A racist man doesn’t fight next to a black man for this country.”
A friend of Caleb’s … who is black … also posted a video on YouTube this week defending Caleb (below).
“Big Brother” premieres tonight. Ratings went up dramatically after Aaryn Gries went on a racist rant last season. We’ll see what happens this time around.
By the way … there’s no way CBS didn’t know about this … they do background checks on all contestants for reality shows and scour social media. [via TMZ]
Here is the video from Caleb’s friend who denies the reality star is racist and homophobic, despite the bigoted comments, and calls critics “haters.”
The family has deleted Caleb’s Instagram account, following the backlash.
