Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan talk about their co-star, NeNe Leakes, in this week’s Bravo blogs.
The women call out NeNe for her motives in bringing the women together for a group therapy session. Although you might be surprised to learn how that session went!
Kenya adds, NeNe is the cause of most of the problems in the group so she SHOULD be looking for a solution to all the negativity. Kenya writes in her Bravo blog: “I thought [the invitation to attend group counselling] was a joke coming from her. I was particularly offended when I wasn’t invited but somehow blamed for having the most issues with the women. Nice try NoNo!”
Kenya insists, “Historically speaking, NeNe has been the common denominator when it comes to dissension amongst us. She has also ruined every single friendship she has had dating back to Kim, Sheree, Marlo, Cynthia, and myself (to name a few). Sorry, I forgot, now she claims we were never friends… Dust!
Claudia had a little more to say about the group therapy session: “I thought it was cute that NeNe wanted to be the one to get the girls to go to counseling. The way I saw it is if NeNe was going to subject herself to the process, then dammit how could I not? But yes, when I heard Leakes suggest Dr. Jeff, I could not wait to get in there and get to work on addressing and fixing some of the dysfunction in this wild and crazy group. Let’s go!”
So how did the session go? Claudia reveals, “The meeting at Don Julio’s went surprisingly well, and I left on a high note, totally optimistic that we would be able to move on and forward with the counseling.”
She explains: “As women we already have enough obstacles out there in our day to day, in our careers, relationships, etc. When we have girl time, it should be an escape where we can come together and laugh and learn from one another, and dare I say even be inspired? Why create drama just because you want to “read” someone in front of the others to get a virtual high five? It costs nothing to be kind.”
Claudia also reveals something positive. “I have to say,” she admits, “This was by far the most civil of all our interactions and both of us were polite and cordial. I was even able to throw out a little joke, and NeNe received it, so I walked off thinking, ‘OK cool! Maybe there is some hope here for a resolution.’ ”
She continues, “Like I’ve said from day one, we do not have to be besties or anything like that; all I have ever wanted was for all of us to be cordial. Drama is exhausting, and I only have 2 speeds: zero and one hundred! I’m seeing a light at the end of the dark tunnel at this point though! But I don’t want to jinx it!”
