LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian went on The Wendy Williams Show to promote their VH1 show, LeAnn & Eddie. The season premiere debuted online July 11, ahead of the July 17 TV broadcast of the same episode.
The couple appears to be using the VH1 show to promote their projects, bash Eddie’s first wife, Brandi Glanville, and project themselves as the perfect blended family. It’s also framed as though the audience should laugh at the ridiculous scenarios, because the couple is laughing. However, it’s mostly asinine talk about the perils of being famous, how they STILL have careers even though naysayers call them both hasbeens, and then lots of negative and passive-aggressive swipes at Brandi.
Yesterday, for example, LeAnn gave a more direct response when asked about her personal life. Referencing the Bravo show in Beverly Hills, she said “I am actually a real housewife. I’m a housewife. When I’m home, I cook. I do housewife-y things. I love to go on RealSimple.com and pick up a recipe and hang out in the grocery store for hours. I go home and have a glass of wine and cook.”
Yet, Eddie tells Wendy Williams in a new interview, “Well my wife doesn’t engage [in Twitter wars with Brandi]. I mean if you want to look back, really dig down and be a journalist, look at the timelines and you will see that there is a big discrepancy and there really is no going back and forth, my wife sometimes… I mean you eventually you have to say something, enough is enough, but the truth is she has always taken the high road.” Here’s video of the interview.
In other news, the couple went on Sirius XM radio show, Just Jenny, where they played Fact or Fiction with rumours about LeAnn’s eating habits, baby plans, and feuds. Listen below.
