Oprah asks about Charice’s sexuality. “I knew [I was gay] when I was 5″, admitted the former Glee star. Here is Charice singing Lady Gaga’s Telephone with Lea Michele.
Charice continued, “I was in grade school and I saw this girl, and I felt different. I didn’t know what it was, but I just knew… it felt special. And when I was 10, I was like ‘Oh, that’s it, I’m gay.’ I found the word for who I really am.”
“Did you struggle with transgender? Were you thinking about like transitioning to become a male?” asked the host.
“Not exactly transitioning to, like, a male-male,” Charice explained. “Basically, my soul is male, but I’m not going to go through that stage where I’m going to change everything.” Seeming to indicate that there will be no surgery. At least for now.
Here is a photo of Charice from before and after changing hairstyle.
Here’s a teaser of the interview with the caption, “Oprah sits down with Charice, the Filipina singer who rose to fame via YouTube, for a one-on-one interview that leads to a surprising revelation. Plus, get more celebrity updates from actress Carmen Electra, radio and TV personality Shadoe Stevens and singer Macy Gray.”
