The birth certificate for the newborn princess has been released!
Yesterday, Kensington Palace confirmed the baby’s name on social media, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.”
Clarifying that “The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.”
And now they have released the baby’s birth certificate online.
They shared it on Twitter and Instagram with the caption: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have formally registered the birth of Princess Charlotte. The Duke of Cambridge signed the birth register at Kensington Palace this afternoon, witnessed by a Registrar from Westminster Register Office.”
- The birth certificate shows the date and place of birth as May 2 at St Mary’s Hospital.
- Her full name as “Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.”
- The parents’ occupations as “Prince and princess of the United Kingdom”.
- And their home address as Kensington Palace.
The palace has thanked the public for their messages: “The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world… It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter”.
