Iggy Azalea has landed a new job. She will replace singer Dannii Minogue as a judge on X Factor Australia.
Iggy seems to have mixed feelings about taking on her new role. The Australian rapper says that television isn’t exactly her thing and she didn’t see her career going this way.
“I really didn’t picture myself being a judge on any kind of television show,” Iggy told Good Morning America.
Why did Iggy take the job if she had reservations? She explained, “I think that actually this could be a good fit for me, so I said yes.”
Iggy also hasn’t spent much time in Australia since moving to the US for her career. She explains, “It will definitely be the longest I’ve been to Australia in probably 10 years… It has been a long time.”
“Initially I didn’t know [what to do] but then I thought it would be good to come back to Australia and have an opportunity to spend some time there and obviously to see my family, who live in Sydney,” Iggy continued.
She added, “So I think it will be a good situation for multiple reasons. I’m really excited and I don’t really know what to expect.”
What is Iggy looking for? “I really want to be able to pick unique people and hopefully have them connect with everybody watching.”
