Despite claims that they split suddenly October 2014, a source reveals that is not true. They’ve “been together the whole time.” The couple were spotted having dinner together at Kiwami sushi in Studio City, CA December 30 and spent New Year’s together at a party in Los Angeles.
A source reveals how the false break-up report leaked to E! News, “Neither of them wanted to be a public couple so quickly. So they told people they were broken up while they continued to build a relationship.” They even developed a system of coming and going unnoticed: “Chris spends the night at her house when he’s in L.A. and they have a system for him to come and go without anyone knowing.”
Chris has, so far, avoided introducing girlfriend Jennifer and estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Says the source, “Chris hasn’t wanted them to meet yet… Gwyneth and Chris are co-parenting without Jen involved for now.” Previously, sources claimed the reason for the “split” was that Jennifer got tired of Chris spending time with Gwyneth and the kids and leaving her out.
Asked recently by Howard Stern whether she approved of the relationship, Gwyneth insisted “Who says I don’t approve of Jennifer Lawrence? I respect [Chris] as the father of my children.” She added, “It’s his decision…He wouldn’t be with someone who isn’t great.”
Gwyneth explained the co-parenting arrangement: ‘The idea is you try to do it with minimal acrimony and you say, ‘Look, we have kids, we’re always going to be a family and let’s try to find all the positives in our relationship, all the things that brought us together, the friendship.'”
Gwyneth also says she and Chris are still friends, “We actually have a really strong friendship and we laugh and we have fun. But there are times when it’s really difficult and things happen and you’re like, ‘I’m sure he doesn’t want to hang out with me and I don’t want to hang out with him.’ But for the sake of the kids you do it. But you also don’t do it all tense.”
