Yesterday, InTouch Weekly reported that Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer was headed to rehab for an alleged substance abuse problem. Also alleging that her estranged husband, Jeremy Calvert, filed for divorce shortly after their 3-year wedding anniversary.
Now, more information has been released about how Jeremy served Leah with divorce papers.
According to a source, Jeremy officially filed in Roane County, West Virginia. Leah was served April 14 “in a Smith’s parking lot in Elkview, West Virginia.”
Leah had no idea what was happening and was initially excited to meet the server. In Touch sources claim, “when she was delivered the papers, Leah thought the process server was there for her autograph.”
Sadly not, those papers marked the beginning of the end of Leah’s marriage. When Leah realised what was happening, “her mood totally turned around… She was clearly pissed.”
The marriage ends after three years and one child together, Adalynn, 2.
This news also follows allegations on both sides of cheating. Leah admitted to cheating with Robbie Kidd and Jeremy cheated with Brittany Musick (Brittany says Jeremy claimed to be single and she’d never knowingly date someone’s husband).
UPDATE: RadarOnline disputes the dates, claiming Jeremy actually filed back in November 2014! “The Teen Mom 2 dad filed for divorce from his MTV reality star wife on November 17, 2014, a Roane County court clerk tells Radar… The West Virginia couple’s split is still pending, and the papers were never withdrawn, the clerk adds.”
