The Jersey Shore cast is filming together again.
The show originally aired from 2009-2012. Local media reports that the cast have been shooting new material at Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park over the past month.
“They were here [on June 16] for a couple hours and had dinner and played boardwalk games,” revealed a local businessperson (via PEOPLE), adding that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley are among those filming. Recently, Mike “”he Situation” Sorrentino shared a news clipping on social media, writing: “We have a situation.”
Additionally, officials confirm, Bright Road Productions applied for local permits under the name “Roadtrip Reunion.”
MTV clarifies that this is not an MTV production (they don’t make all their own shows). And Bright Road is different from the original production company, 495 Productions.
In other news, JWoww doesn’t want her kids on the show.
“The Jersey Shore was perfect for me at the time,” JWoww tells InTouch Weekly. “It brought me to some of my closest friends, husband [Roger Mathews], and my children [daughter, Meilani, and son, Greyson]. But I wouldn’t want them to take part in a Jersey Shore spin-off.”
“Roger was skeptical [about their kids being in the public eye] at first… but he absolutely loves the show that (Snooki) and I already have on Awestruck, and eventually, he came around to it,” reveals JWoww. “These are memories we get to look back on during some of the most precious times of our lives. I’m so glad we decided to do it.”
“I have always been open to a [Jersey Shore] reunion,” she said. “I think it would be fun to have all of our significant others involved so our fans can see the dynamics between all of us and how far we’ve come,” adding that “time will tell.”
