Jessica Simpson married Eric Johnson this weekend at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif.
The bride wore a custom Carolina Herrera wedding dress and veil. Within a few hours, the first official photo had been released by PEOPLE on its Instagram. The photo showed the bride’s wedding hair and makeup too, in what Jessica’s hair stylist Roque Jimenez called “Sexy, easy and ethereal… Nothing too contrived,” adding “It was a labor of love.”
Her father officiated the wedding, and other guests included Jessica’s sister, Ashlee, and best friend, CaCee. Celebrity guests included CaCee’s husband Donald Faison, actor Topher Grace, and actress Jessica Alba.
Even Joe’s new boyfriend was invited, says a source “She doesn’t care what people say about her dad, she loves him and wants him to be happy… It would have been easy for her to not invite her dad, plus one to the wedding. But she wanted Joe to bring his special pal.”
“We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment,” the newlyweds told PEOPLE in a statement. “To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.”
PEOPLE got the wedding exclusive, paying the bride and groom to take photos on the day. The days of earning millions are over, but according to a new report Jessica and Eric earned $300,000 for selling their wedding exclusive to PEOPLE.
