Jon Gosselin has reportedly been evicted from his home.
He allegedly bounced payments for four months and got kicked out of his Pennsylvania residence.
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality star fell on hard times last year. National Enquirer broke the news that Jon had taken a job as a waiter. In a subsequent sit down interview, Jon insisted that he liked working as a server and enjoyed interactions with the public even when people recognised him. He has since moved on from the eatery (sources claim he was fired for “blowing off shifts and coming in late”). Now, multiple sources confirm that Jon lost his home too.
Star Magazine notes, Jon found his “dream” place near Kate’s home. In 2013, “he agreed to the terms of a rent to own lease agreement for the $299,000 property.”
A source explained, “Jon didn’t understand the terms of the contract and broke the lease, thinking he could just rent the property after agreeing to the rent to own the contractual agreement. Evidently, he didn’t understand the terms of the contract.”
He hoped to work with his bank on a loan that would allow him to repay the debt and stay in the property. “He acted like he had all this money,” the Star source adds. “The owners tried to work with him, and he’d get cocky and claim he could easily pay for the house in cash.”
“It’s true,” a source told E! News. “The eviction happened last week. He could no longer afford the rent.”
“He has already moved out and is already in a new place in the same neighborhood,” added the source. “The job at the credit card company he was working for didn’t pan out. The anticipated income wasn’t there and the situation deteriorated.”
They add, “Jon has asked friends for help, but no one wants to lend him money because they don’t see how he’d be able to pay it back.”
