Kate Middleton is pregnant again. Clarence House confirms that the Duke and Duchess are expecting their second child.
It is thought that Kate is in the first few weeks and she’s only confirming so soon because “extreme sickness” has forced her to seek medical care and withdraw from public appearances.
During Kate’s first pregnancy she was hospitalised with hyperemesis gravidarum, a “super sickness”. According to official announcements, she’s suffering the ailment during the second pregnancy too.
It’s been 14-months since baby George was born. This child will be due approximately March/ April next year. A royal source said the “Duchess has not even reached crucial 12-week stage.”
Prince Harry reacted to the news of a second baby, saying, “[I’d] love to see [my brother] try and cope with that”. He added, Kate is “pretty poorly,” as in ill, but “doing the best she can.” He continued, “I hope the two of them have the opportunity to go through the process again with a little bit of peace and quiet.”
Asked whether he would give the kid “strategy” about being the younger sibling, Harry added “There’s never a strategy. I think George will be over the moon. I think he will be thrilled having another small younger brother or sister.”
According to the Daily Mail, Prince Charles and wife Camilla “only learned of pregnancy in last few days.” Here’s more from PEOPLE.
There’s another royal baby on the way! Princess Kate is expecting her second child.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” said the official announcement Monday morning. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The statement continued: “As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
Kate and Prince William, both 32, welcomed son George in July 2013, and from the moment he was born, the third in line to the throne has captivated royal-watchers around the world. From his first play date to learning how to walk, the red-headed toddler – who William calls “a little rascal” – has kept his proud parents on their toes.

Back in July, a former friend of Kate’s confirmed that the royal is expecting. This is the same “friend” who broke the news of the first pregnancy.
Although reps insisted that Kate “hasn’t spoken to the woman in years,” it would appear she’s still got enough mutual friends to know about Kate’s pregnancy only about one month in.
“Kate’s inner circle are buzzing with the news that she is pregnant,” Jessica Hay told Australia’s New Day magazine this summer. “I’ve heard it from several different friends of theirs now and they’re saying that they think there’s going to be an official announcement in weeks.”
“With George, they were forced to tell the world very early on that Kate was pregnant because she was rushed to the hospital with that awful hyperemesis gravidarum at around six or seven weeks,” Jessica added at the time.
She continued, “Kate’s face is fuller like it was when she was first expecting George and she’s been changing her hair, which could be to disguise the fullness. She has rosy cheeks, she’s letting her greys show again, and whenever she’s out in public she goes to great lengths to hold something over her tummy.”
