Kim Kardashian and Kanye West brought their daughter, North, to his Yeezy Boost show at New York Fashion Week. Despite being fine backstage and pre-show, North cried through the show itself. Sparking criticism of the parents’ choice to expose their infant to inappropriate environments and keeping her out all night.
So why do Kim and Kanye keep bringing their 19-month-old to loud events taking place in the evening or at night: “Because they want to, they can, and they’re going to continue doing so,” admits a source.
But there’s a bigger reason: the rapper misses his wife and daughter when they’re not there and he’s already missed so much family time with them already due to their work schedules (the family famously chose not to spend their first Thanksgiving together).
A source reveals, “Kanye was so upset and angry with himself last year because he missed a lot of time with Nori due to his busy work schedule and other business obligations. That’s not happening anymore. No more phone calls, no more FaceTimes with Nori. No more of that.”
The source continues, “He made a promise to Kim and Nori that he’s going to be a hands-on father and he meant it. Wherever he goes, the family goes, including Nori.” Remember, Kim originally planned to travel with Kanye while heavily pregnant and then take her newborn on the road for the Yeezus tour.
The source adds, after initially being hesitant, Kanye now LOVES the attention people lavish on his daughter, “He can’t stop Nori from being an international star. He doesn’t even want to.”
Yesterday, Kanye explained (jokingly) why North cried throughout his Yeezy Boost show: “Maybe she was just scared for her daddy. She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.”
