Kim Kardashian insists that just because some women struggle to start a family doesn’t mean she has to lie and say it’s a positive experience.
It’s been so difficult for Kim to get pregnant again that she only implanted male embryos (so she could have one girl, North, and one boy). Doctors may have to perform a hysterectomy after the birth.
Kim explains that just because family planning is harder for some people does not oblige her to lie and say having a baby is pleasant. Her truth should not affect other people’s struggles. She doesn’t feel the need to perpetuate the myth that pregnancy has no down sides.
“Some people find it blissful, they feel sexy, they feel alive,” Kim told PEOPLE. “I feel completely the opposite!”
“Getting pregnant the second time was so hard for me,” Kim added. “I totally respect the struggle people have to go through. But that doesn’t mean I have to lie and say that it’s blissful. I find it to be a miserable experience.”
Where did she get the idea that pregnancy was a positive experience? “[My sister] Kourtney said she loved it and it was the best feeling and I don’t love one moment of it. And that’s okay! It’s one billion percent worth it.”
