Kim Kardashian made a guest appearance on The View.
The 36-year-old talked about the pressures that come along with fame and having a huge social media following.
“It definitely is a big responsibility and there’s a lot of pressure behind it,” Kim said of a fanbase that includes 101 million followers on Instagram alone.
“For anyone to say that there isn’t I think would be lying!”
Back in October 2016, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
Since then, the mother-of-two says, she has massively toned down posting on social media. She used to flaunt millions in jewels and her exact location, along with the inside of her home.
Now, she explains, “I’m a little bit more cautious these days on what I do share.” For example, she no longer posts her location in real-time.
She admits, “I don’t think that worked out for me so well when I was posting every last detail.”
“In life, things happen to you for a reason and you really do have to pay attention,” Kim recalls of the robbery. “I got the message, totally changed my life for the better.”
She adds, “I’m grateful for the experience, even though that might sound crazy… It’s a great lesson for me to teach my kids!”
Kim adds, she is fearful of her kids being on social media (one day).
“Kids should not be falling asleep with their cell phones,” says Kim. “Even me, I have to put my phone away.” Adding that she puts her cell away during family meals.
