It is alleged that invited guests including Jay Z and Beyonce skipped Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding because parts of the festivities taking place before and after the ceremony would be filmed for Keeping up with the Kardashians.
“We are not filming our wedding for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. You will see everything leading up til and after! As much as we would love to share these memories on camera, we’ve decided to keep this close to our heart & share thru photos,” she said on Twitter at the time.
However, Kim was probably lying… again… and the presence of television cameras at her Forte di Belvedere wedding ceremony in Florence, Italy make it clear the vows will be broadcast on E! (similarly, Kim denied her engagement would be on KUWTK but that was released almost immediately too).
“While we know the family has been shot while in Europe, I don’t have specifics at this point,” an E! insider claimed.
Perhaps not specifically for KUWTK, the wedding may instead become a two-part special. “They have filmed some things already to be on the upcoming special and will film stuff afterwards as well. But the Kim and Kanye special will be a stand-alone show on E!”
So Kim may have used tricky wording in her denial, making it seem as though the wedding would not be on television at all, however, there’s too much money to be made to keep the footage under wraps.
“E! plans on airing Kim and Kanye’s wedding as a two-part special,” another insider added. “The event is way too important to only broadcast on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
