Kim Kardashian has “withdrawn” from public life since being robbed in Paris two weeks ago.
According to a new report, Kim has “zero desire to resume her old lifestyle” after being tied up at gunpoint in the early hours and robbed of millions in jewels.
So, no more flashing her wealth on social media (although, apparently, no one told her brother Rob Kardashian and his fiancee, Angela “Blac Chyna” White to stop showing off on social media… nor did anyone tell Kylie Jenner!).
How is Kim feeling? A source told PEOPLE Kim “is still having a difficult time”. For example, she is “much more nervous”, “doesn’t want to be photographed,” and has limited interactions with fans.
“Kim’s whole life has basically changed,” admits the source. “Before, she was like a social butterfly. Now she acts much more withdrawn.”
Kim has mostly been at home in Los Angeles.
She has “only left her house for overnight visits with the kids to Kris’ and for important appointments.”
And when she goes out, she is no longer alone: “On every solo outing, she uses a bodyguard… Before the robbery, she would enjoy solo outings. This has totally changed now.”
“Kim is still figuring out what she wants to do [with her future],” reveals the source. “She has no plans for any public appearances.”
She “has zero desire to resume her old life.” For example, it’s Kim’s 36th birthday on Friday. It will reportedly be a small intimate party rather than something flashy.
The insider continues: “She just wants to be with her kids and out of public… No one is pressuring her either. She has the best support from her family.”
In other news, Kim reportedly plans to install a $100,000 panic room inside her home.
According to InTouch Weekly (via Daily Mail), Kim is stepping up security. She plans to install the state-of-the-art feature inside her $20m Bel-Air home.
A source also claims: “Kanye has hired a company that protects government officials in war-torn countries”.
How will she protect herself if she is robbed again? The panic room will reportedly have “a large room, a bathroom and cameras… It will be made to withstand a fire of over 1,000 degrees and a 7.0 earthquake.”
The In Touch source is less optimistic about Kim’s mental state: “Kim can reach out [to her on-call therapist] any time, day or night… It’s been very comforting for her.” However, “She’s not well. It’s worse than anyone knows.”
What is Kim going through? “She’s been suffering severe panic attacks and refuses to be alone. She’s been having flashbacks and nightmares. She’s a nervous wreck. She gets especially anxious late at night.”
The source admits: “When the kids are sleeping she has time to think and she just replays that dreadful night over and over… Kim’s ordeal is far from behind her.”
