InTouch Weekly crossed the line this week with its Photoshopped cover claiming to reveal Bruce Jenner’s “life as a woman.
The Kardashians are angry about the cover, with Khloe sending her mother flowers and a note (below) reading “Everything will fall into place, and until then we’ll have Belvedere. I love you mom…” to cheer her up. But Kris is “outraged” the magazine would make claims that Bruce is a transwoman and it’s “cruel” whether it’s true or not.
“Kris (Jenner) has cut off contact with In Touch, Life & Style and all Bauer publications,” a source tells the New York Daily News of how the family retaliated.
The source added, “They won’t get any real quotes from the family, and will be banned from Kardashian-Jenner red carpets, events, premieres and fashion events.” And it’s not a knee-jerk reaction, “Kris is a powerhouse — you’d better believe she’ll stick to it.”
However, despite having the clout to close ranks on the tabloid (meaning no more lifestyle or family exclusives) with InTouch or its sister outlet Life & Style, “In Touch doesn’t care if the Kardashians don’t speak to them.”
The magazine used to be a Kardashian favourite for lifestyle reveals like pregnancy announcements. However, the girls upgraded to a cosy relationship with Us Weekly. As such, InTouch, “Felt betrayed anyway, that the family used them to get famous, then dumped them.”
It’s been revealed that the woman on the cover with Bruce’s face superimposed is Dynasty actress Stephanie Beacham. She gave an interview to Inside Edition (via the Daily Mail) saying, “I speak no lie. Bruce Jenner looks far lovelier than I do there.”
Stephanie continued, “I think it’s terribly funny… Things happen. How could I be cross? It’s the silliest thing that’s happened today”. Adding, “I would want to say that [InTouch] owe me some flowers. A very large bouquet of pink flowers.”
