The show received an enormous amount of hype and commentary on social media. That was quickly followed by criticism once the show aired.
Specifically, she seemed to have no more interesting guests than her own relatives (Kim, Kanye, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie, Rob, Scott) and friends (P Diddy), failing to sign other big-name guests outside her social circle.
Moreover, this was around the time of North West’s birth and some felt Kris exploited the newborn for publicity, lying on social media about a personal appearance, then passing off a staffer’s child as North.
The Real talk show, which returns for a full run later this year, had higher ratings during the same period and no one really watched Kris’ show.
As such, sources leaked to Radar that the show would be cancelled. Kris denied this on social media, claiming the show was on hiatus. However, it’s probably not coming back and now she admits why.
Kris Jenner says her chat show flopped because it received too much hype.
‘It went in with such high expectations that we had no chance,’ she claims. [via the UK Metro, print edition]
