Kylie Jenner has been accused (by fans) of animal cruelty.
Over the weekend some fans on Snapchat and Instagram flooded Kylie’s accounts with concerned comments.
Fans expressed concern over images/ videos of Kylie’s Italian greyhounds with their spines and ribs sticking out (in particular the light brown dog that jumps up in the video where you can see its spine and ribs clearly).
For example one fan wrote “You can freaking see the ribs and spine on one of the dog! People are defending her cruel behavior towards an animal are really ignorant and blinded.”
Another wrote “Why hasn’t anyone reported her yet for animal malnutrition”. Added another “Why is that dog starving?”
What kind of dogs are they? They’re Italian greyhounds.
A fan noted, “greyhounds are a thin breed…but ribs and the spine should not be protruding this much. Is this pup sick? Kylie, please consider a diet change or getting your pup checked out?”
However, TMZ insists it’s normal for this breed to be so thin.
Experts with [Italian Greyhound Club of America] tell us the video Kylie posted of one of her pups is perfectly normal for the breed … despite the flood of people accusing her of being a crappy pet owner.
A spokesperson for the Club says the pups are supposed to be lean, since they’re bred for running — and, in fact, a healthy Italian greyhound should show a hint of 3 ribs and its hip bones.
The IGCA rep also points out the still photo from Kylie’s video could be misleading … the dog could be taking a big breath which would exaggerate the rib cage.
