Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer lost primary custody of her twins, Ali and Aleeah, 5.
The twins’ father Corey Simms was awarded primary custody. Corey became Ali and Aleeah’s primary caregiver “effective immediately” according to an October 13 ruling.
Can Leah still see their twins? Yes. But far less often.
Leah used to look after the twins for most of the school week. She took them to and from school most days. Now that arrangement has changed. A source explains “Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now.”
Why was the custody arrangement changed? Leah failed to get the twins to school on time (they were usually late). And Leah reportedly failed to make enough progress after she left rehab.
“Leah’s really been screwing up…so Corey took her back to court,” a source explains. “The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody.”
How did Leah react? “Leah’s been crying,” reveal a source. “She never thought this would happen.”
