The Kardashians cover the new issue of Life & Style.
According to tabloid insiders, the future of the Kardashian television shows, beyond their recent extension by E!, is under question. Insiders claim that deal is paper-thin and E! “can cancel their TV shows at any time.”
The cover says: “Kardashians cancelled… for a new show starring Bruce as a woman. Kendall & Kylie move to Bruce’s series – but he bans his desperate ex (wife); Kris’ last-ditch plan to save her show backfires; Greedy Kim: He’s taking our money.”
The insider alleges: “E! sees Bruce as ratings gold.” Given his plans to continue with a sex change and gradually transition from physically male to female.
Although televising the transition has been put on hold, for now, following a recent car crash.
The source adds that, “KUWTK is more expensive than ever to produce and profit margins over the last few years have been sinking big time. The Kardashians’ TV shows are played out. It’s Bruce’s time to shine.”
“E! wanted to make sure they had Kylie and Kendall [Jenner] available for Bruce’s new show,” added the insider. “It’s a complicated deal but ultimately it doesn’t change the network’s plan to dump the faltering TV shows. And when they do, they won’t have to pay all the money to the family.”
This weekend, Variety reported that there’s a good chance the Jenner sisters would land their own E! show together; targeting the teenage demographic, sharing their lives as sisters and mini-moguls (Kylie, 17, just bought a $2.7 million house with her KUWTK money and Kendall, 19, is an in-demand model).
