Who wants to know what happens on the season premiere of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, episode 1 “Shotgun Wedding”?!
The cast of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars includes:
- Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett from Kendra on Top
- Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore and Lauren Pesce
- Aubrey O’Day from Celebrity Apprentice and Making the Band with Travis Garland
- Tami Roman from Real World and Basketball Wives with Reggie Youngblood
- Jeff Schroeder & Jordan Lloyd from Big Brother
The premiere isn’t until tomorrow night (May 29). But Candiest has watched the season premiere already (watched it nearly a week ago!) So if you want SPOILERS for the whole episode, you can find them below!
In short, it looks like it’s going to be a good season. There is only one married couple, though, Kendra and Hank. The rest are either dating or engaged.
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett
Arguably the most famous couple in the house. They were the final couple to enter the house. When they walked in, all the other housemates gasped / whispered to each other / raised an eyebrow.
Through the entire season premiere, Aubrey (knowingly) asks open-ended questions about the reason for them being at Marriage Boot Camp. At one point, talking together in the kitchen, Hank nearly confesses to… something. But he’s shushed and hurried away by Kendra.
They are, arguably, the least-upfront couple. Understandably, they’re extremely hesitant to reveal the affair to the other housemates. Insisting that it’s no one’s business!
During a mock wedding ceremony, done within an hour of arriving, as part of the therapy, Kendra’s mother is brought in. Kendra starts screaming and cursing at her mother. It is revealed, Kendra’s mother has allegedly been selling personal stories to the tabloids for years and Kendra is full of resentment. The counselors insist, trust issues with her mother are also stopping Kendra trusting / forgiving Hank.
Aubrey O’Day and Travis Garland
Their relationship is well-defined from the very beginning! As soon as they get out of the car, Aubrey is playfully bossing Travis around and making demands.
Later in the show, it’s revealed their issue is she’s all about fame and her image and he is jealous.
Tami Roman and Reggie Youngblood
Tami and Reggie were the funniest couple! Surprisingly, they’re equally funny.
They also had some of the most serious issues.
There is an age gap of nearly two decades; meaning they’re at very different points in their life. He wants marriage and kids, and she’s “been there and done that!” Asked directly, during the mock wedding ceremony where all the couples were asked the same thing, Tami admitted she was NOT ready to marry Reggie.
Moreover, she walked up to the altar and said “NO!” before even being asked the question.
The Situation and Lauren Pesce
Immediately, they admitted Mike’s (well-publicised) substance problems and legal issues. He is facing jail. It’s putting a strain on their relationship.
They were a couple 10 years ago and got back together. Lauren is one of the only serious girlfriends Mike’s ever had.
Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd
They probably had the least screen time, brought the least drama, and were gently mocked for being “perfect”. Which in the eyes of the housemates seemed to mean “insincere” and “boring”.
When they all picked bedrooms (Aubrey took a leadership role and dished out therapy-themed room keys), Jeff and Jordan got a giant, plush room with luxury facilities and a balcony – while others like Aubrey and Travis/ Tami and Reggie got small, ill-fitted rooms with tiny beds that they barely fit on. Jordan exclaimed, “Oh, great, now they’re going to hate us even more!”
