The 23-year-old posted photos from the scene of the accident to Instagram three hours ago with a caption explaining that it was not her fault and thanking the vehicle manufacturer for saving her life through robust engineering!
Maci wrote of she, her unborn baby and son Bentley, 6, surviving the crash, “Thanking God that Bentley and I were able to walk away from this nightmare with only a few bruises. Thanking God that my unborn baby girl is perfectly healthy after this.”
She added, “I’d also like to @JeepOfficial @Jeep because if our seatbelts and the roll cage had not done their job, I’m not sure my family and I would of had the same outcome.”
She says, she’s also grateful to those who offered their assistance at the roadside, “Thanks to everyone that stopped to help, that was huge. I pray everyone else involved is doing okay. #jeepwrangler #rolledthreetimes #terrifying #totaled #notmyfault”.
Maci is expecting a baby with boyfriend-of-two-years Taylor McKinney.
They are planning to get engaged this year so they have time to adjust to having two kids (Bentley is from Maci’s previous relationship) before getting married. Maci told InTouch, “Before I got pregnant, we talked heavily about marriage— and we still do, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be way too stressful! Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding.”
Only a few months ago, Maci’s ex, Bentley’s father, Ryan Edwards, was in a bad car accident leaving him in a neck brace. She tweeted at the time, “Thankfully Ryan is okay.”
