She spoke about her reality projects including Abby’s Studio Rescue and the backlash from Dancing With The Stars.
The conversation soon moved on to Abby’s personal life, with her enquiring about some of Wendy Williams’ rings (to which Wendy responded “I’m married!). Wendy pointed out Abby’s big diamond ring looked a lot like an engagement ring, re-fuelling speculation that Abby had become engaged.
Back in January of this year, Abby posted photos of herself and A&E (which airs Dance Moms) executive and professional dancer, Michael Padula. In a less-than-subtle move, Abby shared the below photo on Instagram captioned “I do!!! @michael_padula #dancemoms #aldc”
Asked outright whether she was engaged, Abby replied simply “Isn’t he cute?”, adding, “You know what? That’s Michael, but I have a lot of hot men in my life! I surround myself with beautiful men.”
“I want to be specific about the one that you’re intimate with,” Wendy asked, probing further. “Is this Michael?”
“Are you trying on engagement rings there?” Wendy added. “I see an engagement ring.”
Abby responded, “Well, I am, but I just can’t find… I want… a metal… a big, thick chunky modern contemporary band.”
“So, in other words, Abby’s getting married!” said Wendy.
“Maybe,” Abby replied. She continued of when and why she got engaged, “We rushed into things because my mom was ill. I think it was kind of like she would be at peace if she knew I had someone to take care of me, you know? My mom and dad were older when they had me, and they raised me to be very independent.”
Asked whether her fiance was much younger, Abby replied “No! But… but, I, yeah, well… I can’t say.”
