Benedict Cumberbatch will marry pregnant fiancee Sophie Hunter on Valentine’s Day, according to a new report.
Benedict Cumberbatch is set to wed his pregnant fiancee Sophie Hunter on Saturday, Feb. 14, Us Weekly can confirm.
The Imitation Game actor, 38, and Hunter will say “I do” on Valentine’s Day on the Isle of Wight in England, an insider tells Us. [via Us Weekly]
It was reported late last month that the wedding invitations went out by email as there was such a rush to get married that there was no time to send paper invites.
Previously, when asked whether he planned to move from London to Los Angeles Benedict replied “My friends are here, my family are here, Sophie is here; it doesn’t make sense to uproot my whole life… I can travel for work, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else full-time.” So he’s planning to raise his family in his native England and not move to America for work. Although that’s all the information he’s giving away about his family right now. He says “real fans” will understand the secrecy.
Asked by a journalist how Sophie is doing, Benedict responded “Yeah, she’s fine. True fans know that they’re treading on something which is very dear and private to me… yeah, I think it should be [private]. There’s somebody who’s going to come into the world as our child and I…I’d ask people to respect that fact.”
UPDATE: PEOPLE Magazine also confirms the wedding date:
