Bruce Jenner will reportedly reveal his desire to transition from male to female in a major, televised sit down interview. His revelation covers the new issue of Us Weekly: “Bruce’s brave announcement. Finally the truth. How Kris reacted. Fed up with being bullied, [Bruce] Jenner reveals all in a shocking new interview.”
According to Us (the tabloid Kim Kardashian invited to document her honeymoon with Kris Humphries), Bruce will document his “full transformation… [the] wish to transition from male to female”. He talked about it for the first time in a “taped a major sitdown interview.”
An insider added, the special will feature “family talking about Bruce coming out… the world will see his full transformation”.
“Being that he’s such an icon, it took him a while for him to do this, but he wants to put it all out there,” the source explained of why Bruce is talking about this at age 65. “He feels like he doesn’t have anything to lose.”
Bruce “was never comfortable in his own skin”. He was originally “taking steps to live as a woman” and planned to transition in 1990. The former sportsman “had gone to doctors, started plastic surgery, and begun the transition.” But Kris Jenner “talked Bruce out of acting on his feelings.”
In 2015, Bruce has his daughters (and ex-stepdaughters’) blessings as he “wants to put it all out there… Bruce has had these urges for many years, so the kids have known.” Bruce is “taking estrogen hormones” even though Kris still “refused to accept the truth” because she is in “denial” and “she has made no attempts to understand”.
Asked if Bruce was “going through something”, Kim Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight “I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right. I feel like that’s his journey to talk about.”
In addition to the tell-all interview, Bruce and Kris will address this on an E! special “highlighting his desire to live as a woman and look like one… It’s a docuseries featuring the Jenner family talking about Bruce coming out. The world will see his full transformation.”
UPDATE: TMZ confirms Us Weekly’s story, noting “Bruce Jenner is shooting a docuseries about his life changes that will air on television… the footage has been shot over the last few months… the footage is a very personal look… the documentary will include interaction with Bruce’s kids and ex-wife Kris and how they are receiving the news.”
Kris reportedly “lost it” but Bruce’s sons, daughters and ex-stepdaughters have been “extremely supportive.” The docueries will air on E!
