On Monday, Scott Disick entered rehab following a reported drunken weekend in Atlantic City.
The father-of-three has admitted to struggling with anxiety/ depression/ addiction/ alcoholism, worsening after the back-to-back deaths of his parents (who died suddenly within a few weeks of each other in 2013).
This weekend, he hosted a party at The Pool After Dark club where he downed tequila and beer all night… and screamed profanities down the microphone. He effectively fell off the wagon after his last rehab stint. Later that night, he was spotted stumbling around the lobby of Harrah’s hotel. After being escorted to his room, he slept 6-hours past his check-out time.
Days later, TMZ reported that Scott checked in to the Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica that is notorious for its alternative, herb and hallucinogen-based treatments for addiction. Scott released a statement saying: “I realize my issues are bigger than me and I’m ready to truly remedy this struggle I continue to battle.”
However, New York Daily News claims that Scott is being paid a lot of money, for publicity, to attend that particular rehab. He’s not just there to get better.
Their source claims, “He is 100,000% getting paid (by the facility). The rehab center even sent a press release about him.” The source adds, “Why would they do that if he was not getting paid? They have to adhere to strict confidentiality. He’s pulling down big dollars on this one. I heard mid-six figures.”
UPDATE: Charles Johnston, director of addiction treatment at Rythmia confirms to InTouch that the NYDN piece is correct and Scott IS an official, paid spokesperson for the rebab!
