Teresa Giudice might be out of prison for fraud earlier than her fans had anticipated.
Her lawyer has spoken about how Teresa is doing, after her first 48-hours in prison. James L. Leonard, Jr. says the reality star has a positive attitude about paying for her crimes: “I think she hopes to turn it into something positive.” Adding, Teresa has already decided how to spend her time, “She indicated that if she had her choice to work she would like to work in the kitchen facility because she’s obviously a good cook.”
But she isn’t rushing ahead, she is trying “to take it one day at a time” and in good spirits when she was taken to Danbury Federal Correctional Institution.
James adds, the family will survive this (despite reports that Joe is planning to leave while Teresa is away). “This is a very strong family and they’re going to be fine,” he said. Adding of Joe “He told me that obviously it was a difficult day but that everybody was doing OK. He’s a strong man, very strong family man, and a good father.”
Although she went in on Monday and should serve 15 months, the attorney adds, “Our projections are that if nothing changes with her sentence she should be released sometime in early December.” He explains, “Typically, you have to do 85 percent of that sentence, so that calculation comes out to a little under 13 months.”
By December, Teresa may have been fired from the Real Housewives. However, her daughter Gia landed her own show.
UPDATE: Someone tweeted us a clarification, so here it is: “BOP information posted online #TeresaGiudice release date of 2/5/16- Good or bad behavior not set yet” Along with the photo below. So, her lawyer’s estimate of December is very much the best case scenario it seems.
