Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer has insisted, she is not a bad mother!
In a preview for the new season of Teen Mom 2, Leah and her first husband, Corey Simms, can be seen talking about their kids, custody, discipline, and Leah’s parenting skills.
In case you cannot watch the video, below, here is part of their exchange as they handed over the kids in a parking lot as part of their usual co-parenting duties:
- Leah: “Even though I’m annoyed that I have to take a drug test, I’m relieved that our custody hearing is over. I’m hoping we can move past this for our girls’ sake.”
- Corey: “Like I told you from day one, what I was doing [seeking full custody of the twins, after Leah dropped the kids off late to school several times] was not a personal attack towards you. It might have seemed like that, but what I was seeing I just didn’t agree with. I didn’t like the tardies because next year they aren’t going to like tardies in kindergarden.”
- Leah: “I can’t say that I don’t have hard feelings, because I do. Being called an incompetent mother and this and that was really hurtful.”
- Corey: “It feels like we both have little chips on our shoulders and we can’t stand each other, because that’s how I feel, I’m sure that you feel the same. But I just want us to do the best for them.”
Here is the preview of Teen Mom 2 which premieres June 9, tomorrow, 10 p.m. ET on MTV!
