Brandi Glanville recently leaked a racy bedroom photo (link below). She explained on her podcast why she did it.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality star leaked her own photo on Instagram. The photo was taken from behind. Brandi wore heels and underwear. Nothing else. You couldn’t see much but it was definitely NSFW.
Brandi captioned the photo: “Ive struggled with wanting to post this but I’ve worked so hard on my body &at 43 after 2 kids I’m very proud. I love that @kimkardashian makes the point that moms are hot even after kids and post sexy selfies .Ive prepped for the haters & was given the blessing of my family! Zero filters zero photo shop #ankle weights work! 💋”.
Why did Brandi release the photo? To stop a blackmailer from doing the same.
Brandi revealed an ex-boyfriend blackmailed her over photos she sent him during their relationship. He threatened to leak private photos if Brandi didn’t meet his demand for fair treatment in the press.
Brandi fought back. She posted the most explicit photo on Instagram so the guy would have nothing to hold over her.
Brandi shared the story on her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.
“I was texting yesterday with somebody I used to date and he very passive aggressively made it known and made me very well aware that he had a lot of sexy pictures with me, so I had better be nice to him in the press,” Brandi recalled. “And…I’m like, ‘that’s blackmail!’ …It’s like passive aggressive blackmail!”
Brandi explained her reasoning, “So I went in and looked at what I sent him and I thought, ‘You know what? This is probably the most naked one I sent him, and I’m just going to get in front of it, put it out there. And I know I’m going to get hate for it, but my a** looks good, I’m happy with it, and what? What’s he going to do?'”
“Really, I did it for you, dude,” Brandi added. “And even if that wasn’t his plan, why would you say that?”
Brandi received backlash. Fans sent sexist messages focussing on her parenting skills (which have nothing to do with her sexuality or bodily autonomy as an adult woman consenting to posting her own photos online).
One negative message addressed to Brandi read: “I’m sure your boys are proud”. Brandi replied: “My kids will be proud of me because I’m putting not only my a** online, I’m putting food on the table. I’m taking care of them.”
Other messages sent to Brandi were less-hateful, though. “I get a lot of love from mommies,” Brandi revealed. “Especially single mommies. They’re like, ‘go!’, you know they’re very empowering. So, it’s just haters, but whatever!'”
