Farrah Abraham has opened up to fans about her portrayal on Teen Mom.
During a fan question and answer session on Facebook Farrah claimed editing was the reason she sometimes seemed abrupt/rude/dismissive on camera.
Farrah told fans that she often felt provoked. MTV sometimes edited out parts of her conversations that offered context. All that was broadcast was Farrah getting into another argument.
Fans asked Farrah blunt questions like:
- “Farrah, how would you feel is Sophia would talk to you and treat you the way you treat your mom?”
- “When are you going to start treating people with respect?”
- “Why are you okay with using bad language in front of your daughter, but jump all over your mom if she does?”
- “Why are you such a rude and disrespectful c*nt?”
- “Why are you so rude to your mom and dad when they go above and beyond for you?”
- “Why do u feel entitled and treat everyone like s**t?” etc.
Farrah ignored some of the more negative questions.
Here is another question a fan asked Farrah on Facebook.
Q. Why are you so disrespectful?
A. Since you can’t see fully what other people are doing to me I see why you think “I’m rude, I’m disrespectful”.
I can only say if I’m being treated properly I will give the same to others but I am one of the most respectable people you will ever meet and you would probably come around to say I’m not rude I’m honest.
Change your mindset and train your self to see the positive then be corrupted by negative 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Last year her father explained why Farrah was so defensive.
On last season’s reunion episode Michael explained that Farrah had been hurt (and assaulted) in the past. Her defenses were always up. The family worked through the miscommunications in therapy and forgave.
In the Facebook Q&A from a few hours ago another fan asked why Farrah was still on the show.
Farrah explained the reason she still filmed Teen Mom even though she found it stressful and negative.
“I know not everyone sees the full convo leading up to that point [of saying I am done with the show],” Farrah said.
“I don’t take kindly to those around me acting like I need to thank them for my opportunities of doing this show. Realize God blesses us not people,” Farrah added.
Farrah told fans: “Also remember while you judge me for saying one thing you all also do the same thing so do not contradict your selves 💯 but a lot to type so I’m done.”
