Dance Moms reality star Abby Lee Miller says fans may not see a lot of her on television next year.
Previously Abby was accused of fraud. The case may keep her busy. In addition, Abby revealed that she is in a feud with a Dance Moms producer. That conflict is also affecting the show.
Abby explained the situation in a December 7 newsletter (via Deadline). “If I’ve gone missing from a few episodes in Season 6, don’t believe anything anybody says,” said Abby.
Abby did not name names or give specifics. But she told fans “No doubt, I am fighting with a producer [from Collins Avenue Productions].”
Abby insisted the producer’s “cockamamie ideas” were to blame for her absence.
Abby said she wanted to be a good role model for her kids. She felt producers manipulated the show. Abby would rather walk out than let that happen.
“When a grown man tells me he wants one of my kids to portray a pregnant teen and wear a baby bump — I have to put my foot down,”says Abby.
“If that means not moving my foot and not working and getting fined in the process, well that’s a risk I am willing to take to protect my girls,” adds the dance teacher. “I am always teaching principles, integrity, and values in addition to dance technique. It is important for me that the girls learn to stand up and fight for what they believe in!”
Previously Abby had the girls dance in burlesque (in skin colour costumes). She argued that it was fine because the girls were too young for it to be provocative.
Dance Moms season six premieres January 2016.
