Maddie Ziegler quit Dance Moms! She will be leaving after season six.
Maddie, 13, is reportedly leaving the Lifetime reality show. Why? To pursue a career in Hollywood.
“Multiple sources” confirm to Us Weekly that Maddie will leave. Lifetime is yet to confirm Dance Moms season seven (but in either case Maddie will only be on the show through season six).
Ziegler’s pursuit of the big screen is already in motion thanks to her frequent collaborator, mentor and bestie, Sia Furler.
The “Alive” singer cast Maddie as the lead in Sister, a feature film that Sia, 39, wrote and will direct.
“Acting is something she’s really excited to pursue and [Maddie] is in high demand,” says the source. [via Us Weekly]
Previously dance teacher Abby Lee Miller confirmed her own exit from the show (Abby’s exit is temporary).
Abby claimed a producer asked a minor to dance around while wearing a prosthetic baby bump.
Abby wasn’t pleased. So she may not appear in as many episodes next season (or she might go “missing” like she did on previous seasons). She says it’s a matter of standing up for what’s right.
