Leah Messer will return to court. The Teen Mom 2 reality star hopes to fight for her twins after losing custody to her first husband Corey Simms.
Previously a court agreed that Leah had neglected her twins. The girls, Ali and Aleeah, were reportedly late to school often (Leah denied this). They were fed late. They went to bed and woke up at odd hours. Their home and Leah’s vehicle were unclean.
Corey argued the twins would be better off with him. The court awarded him primary custody. Leah sees the twins on weekends.
According to a new report Leah plans to fight to regain primary custody. She has secured a new court date. And she plans to win her twins back.
Leah has a hearing scheduled for next month (January 2016). “Leah is thrilled she got a court date,” says a source. “She’s been waiting for this opportunity for months.”
“Leah thinks she has a good chance to get her daughters back,” revealed the source. “She’s optimistic.”
“She’s trying to get custody back to what it was” explains the insider.
